KAKEHASHI, meaning “bridge” in Japanese, was established to serve as a conduit for expertise and capital into Myanmar’s real estate development and construction sectors. Founded in 2012 by a group of Myanmar engineers, some of whom returned from Japan following economic reforms in their homeland, KAKEHASHI embodies a fusion of local knowledge and international experience.
From its inception, KAKEHASHI has integrated in-house design, construction, and property management services, ensuring its real estate ventures are both dynamic and well-organized. This integrated approach allows KAKEHASHI to balance quality and cost effectively, delivering exceptional value to its clients.
Specializing in the development of high-quality residential buildings in prime Yangon locations, KAKEHASHI consistently strives to set new standards in the local construction and real estate development industry. In 2015, the company entered a joint venture with two Japanese firms to develop serviced apartments for Japanese expatriates, marking a significant milestone in its growth. In 2018, KAKEHASHI expanded its horizons through a joint venture with Tama Home, a leading Japanese house maker, to develop high-end residential properties in Yangon. In 2019, KAKEHASHI further extended its portfolio by initiating the development of a resort-style premium housing project in the scenic hilly town of Kalaw in Shan State.

KYAW MYO LYNN
FOUNDER & MANAGING DIRECTOR
Kyaw has a civil engineering background with a master degree from University of Tsukuba, Japan. At the same time, he has extensive international real estate investment/development expertise and financial knowledge as he worked for Shinsei Bank and Bank of America Merrill Lynch for over 7 years. As a risk manager based in Tokyo, he was involved in real estate equity investments, non-recourse loans, CMBS and non-performing loan businesses in 7 Asian countries including Japan, China and India.
Kyaw spent nearly 15 years in Japan and returned to Myanmar in 2012 amid the country’s positive political and economic changes. In the same year, Kyaw founded KAKEHASHI with some of his close friends. With a unique and balanced mix of engineering, real estate and financial knowledge, Kyaw has grown KAKEHASHI into a reputable and responsible real estate developer and is steering its ongoing growth.
